In the high mountains of Colombia, where lazy rivers flow and biodiversity per square meter is quite high, there are fields where delicious coffee is grown. Speaking of lazy rivers, the Rio Blanco River gives this coffee both life and its name.
Café Granja La Esperanza (CGLE) is created after the region's coffee varieties have been grown by various producers and the ripe fruits have been collected. CGLE, a producer that has won many awards in both local and international coffee competitions, purchases the coffee fruits grown by small producers in the region and processes them in its own facilities through various stages of quality control. The Rio Blanco batch is a washed coffee that consists entirely of organic coffee.
The purchased coffee fruits are passed through juicy pulp and stored in fermentation tanks after any unripe fruits have been removed. After the fermentation process has developed the flavor profile of the coffees, they are washed again with Rio Blanco's clean water and slowly dried until they reach a moisture content of 12%.
The reflection of this coffee, which reflects very well the character of Colombian coffee, in our cup is quite full, with high acidity; it is quite intense and pleasant due to the maple syrup sweet, almond and cream caramel flavors. Tasty!
