Coffee Department
Peru is a natural paradise that extends from the Andes Mountains to the high plains, from the Amazon rainforest to the Pacific Ocean. One of the most valuable plants grown in such fertile soil is coffee.
Cenfrocafe Cooperative, the producer of this coffee, was founded in the city of Cajamarca in northern Peru and currently has approximately 3,000 members. The main goal of the cooperative is both to produce quality coffee and to improve the quality of life of the member families. Agricultural engineers within the cooperative provide technical support to coffee farmers all year round. Another advantage of the cooperative is that it has a roastery, so that locals can drink quality coffee and create a culture. To decaffeinate coffee, the coffee processed with the traditional washed technique is first subjected to hot steam to remove the membrane layer and then washed for a long time with activated carbon and purified water to remove 99.9% of the caffeine from the beans. remove in a way that is both organic and as natural as possible. The beans are then aerated at a low temperature with a mechanical dryer until the ideal humidity level is reached.
When choosing a decaffeinated coffee, we wanted it to be as natural as possible. This coffee, which is both certified organic and decaffeinated using the water decaffeination technique, needs a thousand witnesses to call it decaffeinated. In addition to the taste and acidity of yellow golden apples in our cup, it is a very pleasant coffee with the taste of orange macaroon and the sensation of oolong tea. Tasty!
